Decorating Diva is the name

I have this passion for creating. I can’t tell you how many hours on end that I spend finding inspirational photos online that I can work into my own designs, whether it’s jewelry, art, sewing projects, or home decorating projects,  I’m an all-around do-it-yourselfer and proud of it. I don’t normally copy anyones ideas step by step, but I usually use them as inspiration only.
Today is the 11th of June and on the 22nd of June,  my husband, daughter, and I are moving into a 3/2 house with 2100 square feet of living space, no garage…garage was converted to an enclosed room with brand new BRIGHT Superman blue carpet, and in addition it has a fairly new 1/1 apartment in backyard (mother-in-laws suite NOT) that’s about 780 square feet that my husband is going to operate his metal jewelry blank supply company from.  Plus it has a carport and one large storage shed in back yard. It sits on 1 acre and was built in 1979. It’s UGLY but I see potential. The only bad thing is that we are BROKE from coming up with the down payment.  So, in the next week while waiting for the 22nd to roll around…I’m trying to remember what the house looked like and the layout so I can start making plans on what I’m going to do. It’s driving me crazy!!!
Did I mention that we were broke??? We lost 85% of our income and had to make some huge cutbacks but I’m bound and determined to make this new funky home something to be proud of. I’m a trash to treasure Diva and although my husband hasn’t truly seen what I can really do with limited resources (we’ve only been married since 2010), I’m planning on knocking his socks off and not emptying his wallet.
So below you will see some Inspirational photos and throughout the months, I will be adding my own photos of different rooms of my house.
Ok…for my living room…I love these colors. I have this gigantic cream colored leather sectional sofa that I’m seriously thinking about splitting up and creating 2 end tables to “cap” each open end off. If that doesn’t work…maybe I can trade it for a sofa and 2 chairs on our local trading website. I also like the little skirted table…Oh..and I forgot to mention that I have a giant leather ottoman to go with my giant sectional that I guess I could skirt? It might not stay “skirted” because of my Shitzu and Chihuahua. They are constantly jumping up on the furniture. I don't have hardwood floors, nope....I have this ugly beige carpet. Ugh!

Ok... so, stay tune for more pics, more ideas, more everything :-)
